1940-S (Lwc) Retained Cud? Or Not

Here is a 1940S that looks like it has a Retained Cud on the reverse.

Nice find! There are many different Retained Cuds listed on cuds-on-coins for 1940-S cents. I can't say for certain from your photos, but it looks like one of these listings:

RCD-1c-1940S-02R (possibly Stage B)

RCD-1c-1940S-69R

If it isn't one of those, here are the others that are fairly close:

Possibly an earlier stage of RCD-1c-1940S-31R, but your mm looks a bit more to the east

RCD-1c-1940S-52R

RCD-1c-1940S-67R

RCD-1c-1940S-77R, but again your mm looks a bit too far east for this one

RCD-1c-1940S-80R
