Can't be a Lamination error, since it's impossible to happen on Copper plated Zinc Cents. Laminations only happened on Copper Cents. It's etheir Struck Through Copper foil scrape, or it's cracked Copper plating.

But it can be a struck through a piece of foil from another coin. If so then the copper color should look normal under the foil.

Keep looking. I know it gets frustrating. When the right coin comes under your glass. You will know it, but they leap out at you and then you realize: "I've been looking to hard to find nothing there on coins." But you will show us, because you know you found something good.

Off topic but, if Meow wanted to buy a thing, is there a resource here for that? Meow is looking for a reasonably priced set of gem BU 1982/83p/d quarters to finish a set.

There is a coin auction site here. I think there is also a Wanted section there. Try here: Wanted forum http://goccf.com/f/15

Meow would go to a coin show to see Meowself, if the coins are good in Catson. But Meow is afraid to leave the house.

If you run into these at a local coin show in BU, but what you can if they don't realize they are in short supply in higher graded. (They didn't make mint sets those two years. (Well they did, but you could only buy them at each mint. "D" you had to buy the Denver ones ffrom that location. Philly ones you had to buy at the Philly mint in 1982 & 83)

Does Meow know there are two coin shows in Meow's burg coming up? One in Septempurr and one in Decempurr? http://www.coinshows-usa.com/coin-shows/Hawaii/As long as Meow keeps her tail high and looks where she is walking, she should be OK.

Meow gets scared just thinking about it. Meow has contemplated going before, but just could not do it.

Watch on ebay. You might get a better price if they don't realize it is a harder find for those years in BU. Try a search there for each year (each one separate) and put BU in the search. Look, then save the search and if any come up, they will send you a note. I would also add BIN (Buy-It-Now) So if the price is right buy it then before any bidding happens on it. (check the auction for images and make sure before you bid. Forget the : Snag it if it is priced too to low. (Normal BU price). If you can afford it, buy as many BU ones as you can get. That will be a long shot in the future for new collectors needing that year also. Search for OBW rolls also for that year also. (All business strike mints)
