Meow has found either something very minor, or insignificant again.

1998d Not just the usual zinc rot. Extra line in d.
1974d Filled in d, a litter deeper that usual.
1988d Mintmark high and left. A bit different from others.

The first LMC shows Die Deterioration Doubling, plus damage on the mint mark and Split Plate Doubling. It's not an RPM. The second one was caused by a broken die post, in the mint mark. And the third one just has damage and Zinc Rot on the mint mark. There's no premium over face value for any of these. http://www.error-ref.com/die-deteri...on-doubling/ http://www.error-ref.com/split-plate-doubling/

Meow needs to hold meowselfs head high - you are definitely identifying coins that are unusual. Unfortunately unusual != errors. But that skill will come the more Meow looks, asks and learns.

I kept a couple of pennies just like those, while coin roll hunting. I know that there is no premium value, but the doubling is so bad that it rivals the 1955 DDO (if it was true doubling of course).

It would be equivalent to the poor man's doubled die. It is just a die wear issue in both cases. If you has 100 of them they would be worth a dollar.
