I bought this off of ebay with a winning bid of 3.24. It was being sold by a good friend of mine Still Lookin (grant5842 on ebay). He's a great seller with a ton of awesome stuff around for sale. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-D-No-...t=true&rt=nc

Dang! Nice! You have any idea how many boxes of nickels it took me to find one? I found three 1939 DDR's before I found one of these buggers.

Thank you ratman4762! How long did it take you to find one of these in a box? I bought this off of ebay for 3.24. Congratulations on finding 3 DDR's! What attribution numbers are they?

Had to be at least 5 years of searching heavily. To give you an idea of how many boxes I searched in that time, I found 1315 War Nickels, 4- 1950D's & 8- 1939D's. But only 1- 1990D no FS. The 1939 DDR's are the doubled Monticello (FS 801).

Wow! That's a very long time! You've definitely earned it for sure! That's a ton of War Nickels that you've found. I also have the 1939 DDR as well, but I bought it off of ebay.

The die is in that later die states, so it may have been polished off the die.

Trying to learn here as this is new one to me.
You bought it from a good friend as a "No FS" and now less
than 4 hrs later you think it is an over polished die.
Which is it and can you get your money back?

That's not the point. I don't want my money back, since it's truly missing. I don't get the point of your comment.

Also, why would I want my money back? I don't, since I'm very happy and satisfied with my purchase.
