Trying to figure out if this is a die break or just post damage.

The crack is on the reverse side of the coin by the "M" of America.

If you're referring to K2 on the reverse, looks like a die crack from this pic.

To CCF! That looks like a Die Crack to me. Although, this coin is in horrible shape unfortunately. It's a spender in my opinion.

@om45, first welcome to CCF. Second, can you please confirm that this linear defect is raised above the surface of the coin? When I blow it up, it looks more like a scratch to me, but that would be incuse rather than raised.

Is it raised or incuse? Raised die crack. Incuse coin scratch. Looks like the later from what I can see, but the image is small.

If it's incused, than it's most likely damage. If it's raised, than it's a Die Crack.

Unfortunately my coin micro can not zoom in that far to see if it's raised or incused. Thanks welcome and for all the help, I will report back shortly.
