1989 P LMC Not Sure What To Make Of The Memorial Columns.

I found this 1989 P LMC with what appears to be doubling in the upper part of the columns inside the Memorial. I understand that I haven't been collecting error cents since November 2017 but I think I have an understanding that what I'm seeing shouldn't be there. It is not a plating issue nor is it MD. Insight please

The die has been over polished in that area, in order to get rid of Die Clashes. It has seem to affect that column. Maybe Die Abrasion Doubling? http://www.error-ref.com/abrasion-doubling/

Looks like isolated abrasion. They concentrated on one area too long.
