i have quite of few Kennedy half dollars from the 60s into the early 70s and was just wondering what kind of value would they bring? I tried to scan all of them but I couldn't fit them all on the scanner so that's not all of them...but gives you an idea of what kind of condition they are in..etc. I know jack about coins.

1964 kennedy halfs are 90% silver. 1965-1969 are 40% siver. 1970D is 40% silver but was only released in mint sets so it has value over it's silver content. 1971 to date are current clad coins. Alot of us on this forum search thru these for the different double dies, errors, ect that can be found in them. There are some other threads talking about searching halves so you should start there.

The 1964's are 90% silver and worth about $5.50 in circulated grades. From 65-70 they are 40% silver and worth about $2.50 in circulated grades (these values depend on the price of silver when/if you sell) In uncirculated grades they are common so most dealers will just pay melt prices for them , but you might get more for uncirculated coins on ebay , or selling to collectors here- depends on how nice they are. The dates after 1970 are copper nickel clad, and are worth 50 cents...but there are numerous varieties and not -for- circulation coins worth a bit more. If you need any help with the varieties and such..do a search here...there is ALOT of info on Kennedy half dollars here !

Sheesh, I guess I need to type faster...Nice job pyrbob !
