Noticed this depression curving in from the rim area. At first I thought maybe strike through, but then probably something else. Looks like a gutter.

Incuse on the coin, so it would have to be raised on the die? No clue on this one unless it is coin damage? It doesn't look like it is touching the devices on STATES?

Looks like some type of Struck Through error. It's very interesting! We'll see what the others have to say about it.

Could you confirm if its incused or raised? 1st close up image suggests it maybe incused, while the second close up image suggests its raised. I'll check again after my morning coffee. Thanks, Doug.

I could see that it could be a struck through rim burr or wire. That would make sense.

Definitely incuse. Not shallow either.

Light in second photo coming from south and reflecting off far edge of depression.

Maybe this photo shows it a little better. Seems to start above the T or maybe even the S and tapers as it narrows to and end by the other S.
