@FCG, first welcome to CCF. Second, just to temper your expectations--these are almost always a result of environmental/chemical exposure causing toning rather than a missing clad layer. To be sure, can you please post the weight of this coin? Thx.

Looks like environmental damage to me. You would need a scale that goes to 0.001 to be sure, and those scales are not cheap.

Note the red color on the edge of the coin? It would be that color if it were a missing cladding on the obverse. Also the strike would be weaker on the coin:

Just spent some time outdoors. Carry it a week in your pocket, then it the high points will start looking silver again. (Which would never happen on a missing clad coin.

That's Environmental Damage, not an error coin. It's worth face value.

Make the pic bigger on the horse along there is atleast 6 diff parts of other coins (number 3 , 1 , flower from Hawaii, stars, wright brother waist up, maple leaf, torch, large A and many others. On house stars have #4 on some eagle, letters A , Y, B, state of texas for a start. Whole coin has things on top to bottom like lower rim has a L14 can spend lot time making a list that I see on back alone front has them to.
