1964 No Mint Mark Odd Colored Penny

Jmossuto New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 08/19/2018 03:29 am Total newbie - but have come across interesting coins while metal detecting, and just found a 1964 penny that caught my attention because of its color. I understand that most 1964 pennies with no mint mark are not special, but after lookiking it up, it seems that some are.....and I don't have a trained eye and even after looking for the distinguishing signs, and seeing pics, I can't really see a difference between the valuable and the non-valuable pennies. I don't expect it to be anything, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask people with actual coin knowledge just out of curiosity. Not great close up pics, but hoping they're good enough to see if it is anything cool. If you dug it up in dirt, Not Sand it almost always comes out a funky ugly brown dirty color . Copper coins do not hold up well at all from being buried a long time in soil .
