Topic inspired by KurtS, but now that I think about it, though I have not been to enough coin dealers in person to form an opinion of them, I've had SO many online sellers respond to me in all caps. Also, some don't seem to even have basic grammar down. Many are surprised when I say that I don't appreciate being addressed this way. So, anyone else have this experience, and wonder why?

It doesn't bother me if the seller has poor grammar or improper netiquette as long as the transaction goes smoothly.

Hi SHadowCreator,

I am one of those people that writes messages all in caps sometimes. I'm not sure why I do it. Just sometimes I think it looks better? Thanks for the warning though. Whenever I write to you I will do my best to use lower-case letters when appropriate and proper grammar. :)

ShadowCreator,

Just like in real life ... you get all types! But you're right, I find that those who lack basic grammar skills on ebay tend to be a bit "short-fused". It may be that they are self-conscious of their ability. I have "politely" offered advice to several who had errors in their listings which dramatically changed the scope of the listing. Almost all of them came back with a "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS" response.

And then there are a few who are very grateful for the help. I wouldn't take it personally. If they have the right coin at the right price, they could be TOADMASTERS for all I care.

It amazes me how many people in general have very poor grammatical skills or type in all caps. How can you type in all caps and not realize that it looks terrible and can be offensive to the receiver? I honestly don't get why there is such an abundance of people that do one or the other, or both.
