Spence Moderator United States 34435 Posts	Posted 08/20/2018 8:50 pm @NC, looks to me like the die was pretty much at end state and had deteriorated enough that the nickels it was striking showed this doubling and other extra details. I don't think that there is a premium for this coin, but it is interesting to look at. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/20/2018 11:14 pm I just checked on PCGS and they have three non step varieties and the die state is better than these, but still in the LDS/VLDS.
