As Jimmy said a Struck Through Grease is just where maintenance grease and polishing solvents get lodged into the die devices preventing the metal from fully forming.

Yep, as the others say, a grease strike through. A very minor error and fairly common on the Statehood Quarter series. I hope you stick around on the forum! This is the place that first educated me on error and variety coins and I have loved it ever since my first day!

It's not one of the rarest State Quarter errors, grease strike through errors are quite common. The only reason this coin would carry a premium is because it has a "coolness" factor(which I personally disagree with, its really not that special). Heres one with a similar partial grease striek through that sold for $10: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-P-Kan...43663.l44720Similar coins have sold and are for sale for around the same price on ebay from between $5 and $10

First... Second - go a bit further in googling and you will find anyone who has knowledge of the coin hobby that has seen the article is saying its a very misleading article...and it is. As an example, the author says coins are printed. To anyone knowing the simpleist basics of coins this term sticks out like a sore thumg and a red flag goes up. Cpins are minted, not printed. He says a silver War Nickel (1942-1945) is worth 20.00. First, only some 1942 nickels are silver. And the only ones worth 20.00 are going to be the ones that are in mint condition like they just came out of the mint. Google silver melt calculator. At present you will find a silver War Nickel - like you would find in circulation, is worth .82 cents and not 20.00. A typical silver quarter is worth 2.63 instead of 65.00. A few specific rare dates with the right mint mark and condition could go 65.00 (and higher) - but he makes it sound like all of them are 65.00. Almost everything the article says is inaccurate - including him hyping up a Grease Filled Die mistake to make it sound valuable. Sorry! BTW - check these prices out yourself by also looking on ebay sold items!

That's a misconception most beginner believe their coins are "very" valuable, and the internet is litter with many false information, in fact most common grease filled aren't worth more than their face value, unless it covers more than a few letters.
