I Finally Got My Parents Halves - Coin Community Forum

jewelcard Valued Member United States 135 Posts	Posted 07/08/2008 10:21 pm I was finally able to get my hands on the half dollars my Mom had been saving over the years. My Dad said they had over 100 of them and I couldn't wait to see them. I ended up with 15 90% Kennedy's 5 40% Kennedy's, 2 1962 Franklins, 5 Ike dollars, 1 Susan B Anthony dollar and the rest was modern date clad Kennedy's. The Franklins were my first ones so that made me happy. Check out these 3 1964 Kennedy's. They are incased in some kind of plastic, there is no seam on these and I bet it would be a pain to break them out. I think I am going to sve them for my kids. Don't "crack em'"......leave em' as they are !.....In 42 years they might be worth a fair amount beyond melt.......or at least the "melt value" then could be fantastically higher than now !!......Your kids will appreciate them I'm quite sure.
