2001 Kentucky Quarter Painting Misprint?

dzrtrataz New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 08/22/2018 03:58 am My son found this quarter and was wondering if it worth any value other than .25 cents. The Quarter is a Kentucky 2001 painted on the Front but is not over lapping the die casting of the quarter. the painting is quite off set from the die cast. The Back side is fine as far as the die Print. Any info would be great. Report this Post to the Staff

John1 Moderator United States 56855 Posts	Posted 08/22/2018 04:08 am to CCF. Value is a quarter because it was painted after it left the US mint. Companies paint them and even plate them in gold or platinum. When that is done it becomes a damaged coin unless it is done by the mint it self. I hope you stick around and enjoy our great site.
