Are these 2 1983 D Lincoln's a lamination error or something else? The first one is a raised verticle line across from Lincoln's nose. The other looks like serious case of acne, but they are raised and appears obverse and reverse. Also, as a newbie, do lamination issues add any value or just a 2x2 cool factor collection?

Both coins have plating issues. 1st is a linear gas trail bubble and the other has debris trapped between the copper plating and zinc core. IMHO,both can be spent.

Both have plating issues as John1 said. It's pretty common, and doesn't carry any premium over face value.

I might hold on to them a bit to use as reference and I don't repeat the same question. At least they are good examples for learning.

Well they are normal The second one is an issue with a poor rinse that didn't remove the zinc dust before the plating. The first one is just a linear plating bubble.
