I'd like to verify the type. I'm pretty sure it's an L. Thanks. Grade opinion would also be nice.

I'm no expert, but after making some visual comparisons and trying to account for wear, it very well may be an L type.

For grade, I'll say G-4.

Don't know if it's an L but for sure a G4 at best.

Looks like a bronze to me. That's a pretty fat bust.

Yep, Raymo's correct .... rounded bust and not an "L" variety. Here's a close-up pic of Otto's coin ....

Right, those images are identical.

The pointed bust can lose sharpness with extreme wear as on this coin. Could we see a sharper close-up of the bust tip and the ribbon area (enlarging the original doesn't help much)?

No L. Grade is Good. Appears to be struck with noticeable die misalignment.
