Go to coppercoins.com, variety vista, or doubledie.com and look up the doubled ear varieties for : 1984, 1997, 2006, 1983 D, and you will get a better understanding of these varieties. Although there is an impression on your coins ear lobe it is not from a doubling of the die used to mint your coin. I have several like yours from the 1990's and not sure what causes these but am sure its not a doubled die. Good luck and keep searching their out there. Welcome to the forum, glad you found us. If it were a doubled ear, it would be raised, not incuse. Click to enlarge the image. I put them all on the same image. (just missing one) But this is what you should look for.
