Business strike philadelphia mint coin, they hadn't put the P mintmark yet until 1974.

It is a real missing s dime, but it's from Philadelphia and normal. What you are looking for is a proof dime that should have a S mint mark, but doesn't have the mint mark.

Proof coins are a lot different than business strike coins.

The no 'S' variety refers only to proof coins, which should all have the S mintmark as they were minted in San Francisco.

However, since your coin is not a proof but a regular business strike, the lack of a mintmark only means that it was minted in Philadelphia, which did not begin putting mintmarks on their coins until 1980.

That only applies to Proof Strike Dimes with the missing S mint mark. You have a normal Business Strike Dime, that was minted in Philadelphia. It's worth face value.

You should be looking for the proof no S dime, not the business strike no S dime (minted in Philadelphia, normal).
