Hello guys! So I am very new to this. So I'm trying to distinguish from DD verse other errors exc. Would this be considered a DDR Roosevelt dime ? It's a 1972 and tried to get as clear of pics as I could. I couldn't find any errors in that year in the books I have. So wanted you alls opinions on the coin and if it's a DD. Or if there's known errors for it ? Thanks !!

Ok thanks ! That is the better one I've seen that explains the two away with pictures !! So I've had others that are thicker lettering, but aren't extreme as the one shown in photo as double die. Are double dyes thicker ?

The real clue? Note how the affected areas on your coin is showing a step down. That is caused by after the complete strike the machines dies bumped the devices damaging the side of them on one side. Note the opposite side of the devices are normal. contoured. So that is device reduction that make that area affected.
Depending how the MD happened, it can happen at the bottom of the devices or the upper area of the devices.

Note how the contour was removed on the affected area?

Note the area was affected by the damage, but the over all area of the devices are normal?
On doubled dies we see an increase of the sizes of devices because the doubling is on the die, not caused by a faulty machine:
