Just want to confirm that this is a large S on 1928 dime.

Couple-Of-S-Mintmarks.

Saw Mr.Neffs picture of inverted S. This may be just an optical illusion due to the polishing.

Couple-Of-S-Mintmarks.
To my eyes looks inverted

Couple-Of-S-Mintmarks.
There does appear to be a ball or serif left on the botton arc. Top arc appears to be a polished sans serif. Could be just me though.

the dime is a large S variety
cents during WW2 had many mint mark varieties. this one is a normal sans-serif style mint mark used primarily in 1947 but can also be found of some 1946

Hi,

I agree, the S on the dime is the large S.

I also want to add that the S on the cent is indeed in its proper orientation. It is not inverted.

Thanks,
Bill
