You're welcome. Toning can happen during circulation naturally, or if it can happen artificially, by leaving the coin in direct sunlight outside, or from being heated up with fire.

Sure. You can show it to me here, if you'd like, or you can create a new separate thread instead.

The natural rubbing from circulation and can lighten the coin. If you like it, save it. It almost looks like a piece of are. The reverse is not desirable. Maybe someone tried rubbing the obverse and it turned that color? (Mixture of hand oil) But if that is the case, then it might turn bad on the coin. Along with hand oils, come salts. This often eats into the finish on BU coins and makes them turn brown. (which is permanent) They can't be removed with out removing the mint finish on the coin. So if you see these on a coin your thinking of buying, don't.

Mostly seen on BU coins. Old and new. The salts and oils on the hands affects the coins. Eventually they turn brown.
