This is one of the widest gaps I've seen on a date. I know it's not a doubled die but just metal flow. Question is, is this unique to this cent or will all coins produced with this die have the same appearence ?

It looks to me like a plating effect. See the stretch marks out to where the plating came loose? See what everyone else thinks.

It's die wear and the effect die wear has on the devices. Not all the coins produced by that die will show this effect, since the effect came onto the die with use. Every coin struck AFTER this one will show the effect, and it could have become more obvious with added use.
