Hi there, new here, Just picked this up along with some others and noticed it has some doubling of the S and the 4. would really appreciate some info on what I have, or don't have here!

The problem is that that is in the direction you would expect to find die wear. So that is probably what you are seeing. Keep in mind the die and the planchets were steel that year. This made the dies wear a lot faster that the soft copper planchets.

To CCF! If you're thinking, that it's a Doubled Die, it's not. This is called Die Deterioration (die wear), caused by the die striking a lot of coins. For real Doubled Dies, go here and read about them. http://www.doubleddie.com
