srs77: Is that a quirk of the photograph, or is there doubling in the motto of that 2014 silver Eagle?

A quirk.... The proof ASE has such a shiny surface I believe my lighting cast a shadow of the motto. I've looked at the coin again and can find no doubling.

here's a combined showcase of 2 days' worth of arrivals....

a pretty nice Volterra case for 6 Quadrums. I find it the best compromise between exclusivity and a display of one's 'wealth in assets'. silver or gold of course

the cheapest I found on ebay, which would've been a far better buy had shipping not been equivalent to 20 Singapore dollars.... another encapsulated 10 francs 1973 from another purchase on the cover

Continuing-List-To-Show-Everyones-Latest-Acquisitions

what everybody wants to see of course... 27 grams or so of .900 silver, key date, with a mintage of just under 300,000.

50 francs, the next key-est date following the 1980 by a huge margin. strangely, it rings dull compared to the 10 francs. this brings to mind how my 1887 Victoria .925 1/2 crown dulls compared to .500 silver crowns... any thoughts?

could it get any better than this?... of course it could, with a little splurging here and there. i'll save that for later when I'm able to afford more magnificent pieces

I'm a happy man....

Hi everyone

I like to buy coins in bulk lots and have spent $230 during the last month on a few of these.

Here are some of the coins I've received

Well the 20th was my birthday, and a girl I recently started seeing surprised me with this puppy...an NGC certified MS69 1987 Silver Eagle. The picture doesn't do it justice. I was pleasantly surprised!
