Chute72- your post on the 1904-O Morgan (VAM-44) deserves to be in a thread of its own. Seriously, I am highly impressed. I'm already more interested in VAMs after reading it. It was interesting, informative, and exceptionally well written. The excellent close-up photos to go along with the descriptions made it a story all its own. Pure poetry, my friend. Thanks for sharing. You need to start your own thread titled Chute72's VAM Stories.

Some German pre-war silver. Nothing outstanding but they fill a few holes. Interesting to note that the 1934 and 1938 incorporate the swastika in the design but the 1936 doesn't!

thai-vic, I like your German silver. I have decided to see how far I can get with date/mm sets of those series, since they show up so often in USA 'junk' silver sources. If you are doing the same, I have a bunch of extras to swap.

I was on my weekly Saturday morning trip to my LCS and picked up a XF 1924-S Peace dollar for my set (5 to go) and I also bought this for $30 (I know lots of folks on this forum don't like the colorized or plated stuff, but for $30 I couldn't pass it up). All 50 State Quarters in a nice display case in airtites

Nice looking set. You paid a lot less than the original owner.

I would guess a nice display box goes for more than that.

I've just found a 2015-D German 1 eurocent lying in the road a few yards from my house (which is in South-East England). It's my first 2015 euro coin of any country or denomination. It would have been in Mint State if someone hadn't run over it!

Nice purchase, rahtbarg. You got $12.50 in face value and the case + capsule is worth more than $17.50. I would make a great gift for someone too.... ;) I got 3 brand new Blue Ridge Parkway ATB Quarter yesterday out of change at Starbucks.
