Just picked up these proof sets from a guy for around 50 bucks. All boxes and COAs included.

It's hardly a rare coin, but I like the reverse panther design on the 1946 and 1947 British India coins of George VI. They were the first non-silver rupee coins struck, and the last ones struck before India gained independence. They are also quite hard to find in high grade. I have been keeping my eyes open on ebay for several years now trying to find a nice mint state rupee that is not covered with bag marks and offered at a reasonable price. I'm still looking. I did pick up this attractive quarter rupee. It will have to do for now as my search continues.

Thanks. I did check the 1979 proof set and it's a type 1.
Question....since I'm new to the forum. How do you quote someone in a reply?

Not really a coin per say, but a nice addition to my military stuff. This just happens to be slabbed, the only slab I own.

52Raymo, any chance you'd disclose how much you paid for that? I got one similar to that in an album but it's the one that doesn't show the legs. I don't really know how to price it.
