 For me, there is a special joy felt when I crack out a coin and ( carefully) hold it in my gloved palm and look at the actual coin surfaces. It's like letting an animal loose from a cage and seeing it's gratitude. :-) Yeh, I'm a little nuts I suppose and I obviously wouldn't do it unless I planned to keep it indefinitely with no plans to re-sell anytime soon. |

I think I will keep this one in the holder, as it's not a ton of value, I really like the special Syd Martin label and it meant a lot to me to own a coin (actually a few beyond this one I showed) that came from his collection. I also bought much of his basic book library to supplement my own in areas. Some I'll keep and other books I'll sell off. Last thing I got from his estate sales was a box of his research papers and and other ephemera. The PCGS label is pretty nice looking IMO on his special edition collection coins.  The hobby is about enjoying things the way we like them. While people here may know from my posts I am not a fan of how the companies operate nowadays and their end product, I still like the looks of some coins in slabs.
