I suppose if you had to spend them, you could have done worse. Nice Penny!

No worry. I was just messing with you.

Without seeing the dollars, I say you did well.

I overbargained a hair on these that I received in a trade with coincollect1, but their beauty in hand makes up for most of the two imbalances, leaving me pleased:

svslav => hey, long-time, no hear ... how is the ol' coin-world treatin' ya lately?

=> yah, this coin is definitely "100% Kick-Arse"!!

Especially the fact that Perseus still has the ol' killing-tool and Medusa's severed head in his hands!! (man, they just don't mint coins like this nowadays, know what I mean?) ...

So story behind these: A while back I give this odd, well-to-do-for-homeless fellow that I know who hangs in a certain spot downtown, two Presidential dollars. He winds up keeping them for his collection rather than spending them. He knew that I collected coins, and I knew that he has a collection as well that he's stashed somewhere. Conversation lead to he said that he might have a Mercury dime I had wanted (need later satisfied by indian1 in a purchase deal, coin yet to be shipped).

He searches his horde for it, comes up empty, but today he gives me the dateless Buffalo nickel at left and 6 wheat cents (not pictured).

Later in the day, an associate of his was hanging out with him, says that he came accross an odd penny. Fellow tells associate that I know something about coins, and associate shows it to me. Turns out to be a Mint set token. He asks me what it's worth. I reply that I dont know, but it's interesting enough for me to give him a dollar for it. There be the coin at right.
