The DDO your refering to is post mint damage for PMD caused by the flattening of the metal on the devices. There is also some minor Machine Doubling (MD) which is caused by the bounce of the die and is not considered an error or variaty. On "In God We Trust" (IGWT) there is some Die Deterioration Doubling ( DDD) caused by the wear of the minting dies expanding the lettering a bit, which is normal. All in all it's not a DDO or an error, but a nice Wheat penny. GC Report this Post to the Staff
