It has an ultra low mintage of 112 for $1999. Worth it? I thought about buying it...but 10 oz is not worth it. But the mintage is cool. But there's nothing stopping RCM from flooding the market with similar coins ala Big Coin Series so I'll sit this one out. Edited by wilsonwu89 10/03/2018 3:02 pm

$200/oz? That is pretty much the going rate for RCM Silver PF NCLT these days I guess ...

$200/oz is 10x bullion... That is a new high for NCLT premium. At that price, the only reason to buy is if you are irrevocably drawn to the coin and love it. It is for your collection, not investment or flipping.

Quote: $200/oz is 10x bullion This is crazy! For some of my coins, I was offered CAD 20 for 1oz.. so basically CAD 20 for 1oz Proof Silver coin.

Sad but true. The dealers tell me they are buying at slightly over BV for most proof coins.

I was at Canada Coin and Currency yesterday and they were buying 1935-1967 SD for $8 and proof 1oz 9999 coins for $14-$22.
1935-1967 SD were selling for spot +8% (excluding key dates in both cases of course)

Since it's already sold out, I guess I can post a picture of it... I see $2999 Cdn - NOT $1999 Cdn. so....$300/ounce - a bit of a stretch for anybodies budget.

I believe this coin sold out before making it to public sale.

That's strange. I've never seen the mint sell above issue, especially 33%. It was $1,999.95 at CC&C.

It says $1,999.95 when I search for it. Many loonie collectors probably just dropped out of any hopes of completing their collection

Why the reeded rim. No loonie has a reeded rim.
Loonies aren't round they are 11 sided coins.

For example, how many collectors got these $5500 gold loonies? https://www.colonialacres.com/product-p/156041.htm

The idea, with the 10oz could be good, if the RCM would issue in the parallel, the "normal" Piedfort Silver Loonie (same dimensions as original, but double-thick). The very reach collectors will be happy to get the ultra- limited release, and average Loonie collectors will be happy to get the Piedfort coin.

I can't imagine spending that much for 10 ounces of silver. The original price of $3,000.00 was outrageous yet it sold out. $300/ounce. Insane.
