What I think is a Chinese coin, silver and weighing 5.4 grams. Catlogues 1800-2000 were searched, and nothing found looking like this coin. Any ideas?

It's a republic issue known as Phoenix & Dragon. 20 cents, 1926 but I need to look at that lower legend a bit more.

Update: I was delayed by that lower legend because it is not seen on the coin in one of my go-to catalogs. I'm certain the image in my catalog is not correct. It is not unusual for picture errors in catalogs.

The legend is seen and described in my other books.

Update Two: After more time looking into this topic, it is obvious the wrong coin is seen in Krause SCWC, 34th ed., pg. 406, item described as Y#335 20 Cents (2 Chiao) should show the OP's coin, but the catalog shows the wrong coin.

I believe this was a commemorative coin issued in 1926 to celebrate the wedding of Pu-Yi the last Emperor of the Qing Dynasty.

Please let me know what book you used and if your actual coin is shown.
I need to buy a newer catalog, but I don't want to get one that shows the same wrong coin as found in the one I have.
The coin seen in my catalog is a Shantung $20 gold coin and not the correct Republican 20 cent coin at all.

I own the 45th edition of the Krause catalog, so I may be able to help you out some.

Edit: Unfortunately, Krause still lists the wrong coin as Y335

Wow, if your 2018 book and my 2007 book don't show the right coin, I might think all the editions in between probably don't show the right coin.
Wrong pictures in Krause do sometimes get in the way when trying identify coins.
Numista is often a good source, but there, you sort of need to know what you have in order to find it.

My 28th edition dated 2001 does show the right coin, so somehow the picture was changed. I tend to keep catalogs because more and more many coins are being dropped from newer catalogs.

I thought somebody might have asked about that confusing lower legend, but nobody has.
So here it is anyway. The OP's coin legend translates to "each five pieces equal to one dollar".
And that is correct for a 20 cent piece, but if you look for what should be a Pu-Yi Wedding Phoenix & Dragon 20 cent coin in the recent editions of Krause, the coin shown is the wrong piece and the lower legend translates to "Shan Tung Province Gold Coin" in the catalog.
