282851867648This looks like an excellent deal on its face, but I have a heavy suspicion that the coin is polished and AT'd. What does the community think? I definitely hope not; it sure is gorgeous.

For that money I would ask for better pix from seller, if he gives you the same, walk away. The overglare is hiding something, a two toned bad cleaning I would suspect. It does appear whizzed. I don't like the difference between the sides, reverse may be OK, but front shows circulation...unbalanced coin.

It is really nice, not so sure that it's been cleaned, but it looks like something is on surface of coin, possibly dipped?

Looks polished or maybe coated. This is a circulated coin with problems.

There is a reason the coin is not in a TPG holder and with photos that can not be graded. The coin is most likely an AU Details. The value is around $450. Pass, the coin is not a bargain. |

Stand clear of this one . Some jerk tried to make a key IHC better looking by polishing and buffing up this coin . What a shame that WAS once a beautiful reverse .  |

IMO the decision is simple.
For that amount of money it HAS to be slabbed.
Especially since it looks suspect.

Over priced in this condition.
