I found this while diving about 1/4 mile off the coast of northern California near Drakes Bay. It is metalic, magnetic and about the size of a Lincoln Cent. It is worn very thin and weighs under 1 gram. Any thoughts are appreciated.
@jst1dreamr, the Arabic script, exceedingly thin flan (such that the design is mirrored on the rev), and hole suggest to me that you have found a so-called belly-dancer's token. Of course, the location of your find means that perhaps we should call this one a "mermaid's token".
For reference, here is one in my collection:
"If you climb a good tree, you get a push." -----Ghanaian proverb
"The danger we all now face is distinguishing between what is authentic and what is performed." -----King Adz
