I came across a few of these this weekend and I noticed what appears to be some doubling in the word mounds in particular of the "U" and the letter "N" on one and some doubling in the motto on the 2nd, represented by the fourth picture in the set above. I have seen something about these on YouTube but really have not come across much literature describing these coins as they are pretty new. Does anybody have any kind of info on variety, value etc.. ?

I was thinking about maybe mailing them to the variety Vista guy so he could add them to his list. What do y'all think?

to the Community! What you are seeing is Machine Doubling as those letters are incused. Your last pic looks as if that is a small die crack between the I and B.

Just for clarification the picture below is exhibiting Machine Doubling? If so that's fine I just wanted to make sure that that's what you were talking about. Thanks!

I beleive it is MD on the "URIBUS" pic but a closer pic would be more helpful.

However, MD is flat and shelf-like plus it reduces the size of the devices. I do not see any of those characteristics on your close pic of the U and N.

Instead those extra bits look like die chips to me.

BTW
How much squash could a Sasquatch squash if a Sasquatch would squash squash?

Just MD. About 70% of these quarters have this issue. It creates a partial letter, but because it is incuse, it is caused by die movement before/during/after the strike. Very common. All the DDRs are on the center of the design on the ATB and States quarters. Rarely do you find a DDR on the single squeeze near the rim areas on these. Jut the center area of the designs.
