I dont know much about canadian coins but I got what looks to be a proof quarter in change.
The edge of the coin is solid silver instead of copper and silver like a clad quarter. It is literally a mirror and if it was bigger you could watch yourself style your hair. Can you tell me if its silver?
Thanks

You could tell silver by weight. It might be a spent prooflike.

Are your images reversed. Why is the Queen facing to the left, and the caribou facing right?

If it was a silver proof coin the effigy and caribou would be frosted, and the fields mirror like. Canadian 25 cent coins do not have the same obvious clad appearance on the edges. Yours may have been cut from 2001 uncirculated set.

Here is a 2002 silver proof

It's difficult to tell from that picture, but it looks like a circulation issue. Canadian coins don't have the ugly sandwich look on the sides like the US coins do.

This is most interesting. Fake?

I've never seen one like this.
