I have had this rupee for a while, and after some research described it as a Pratabgarh rupee from 1821. However, I now have my doubts, as the pictures in Krause (KM# 23) and those online do not seem to be the same as my coin, specifically the lack of dots either side of the circle on the reverse.

Can someone please confirm my suspicions?

If you offset your coin onto the above sample you get a match as far as I can see..Paul

Similar drawings are found in catalogs because some dies are larger than the flans. I learned this years ago when I mistakenly bought a "well centered" coin. In that case, the date was not visible. I did look at a lot of coins early on in this thread, and my best guess was the correct location but parts of the coin didn't match the catalog images.
To comment on drawings: the original can be copied and pasted into Word, rotated, corrected and saved as a PDF or Jpeg. The file can be opened with Corel or Adobe or Paint or other and then colored shapes and lines are easily drawn. Image is then saved and uploaded to the reply. There are no doubt more and easier other ways, but it's not hard to do. People with the better skills are like Palouche. Isn't this highlight the word "London" that would be found on the OP coin?

Yes, the coin cites the "Shah of London" (Queen Victoria).
