Try to show the entire coin, obv. and rev. and directly over the coin. It would also be helpful showing several different light angles of the steps.

Edit: I guess you were reading my mind. It's a proof. Full steps are common for proofs.

Get that graded man there are 0 FS 1969-S jeffersons. That could be a fortune. There is 1 1969-D jefferson with FS that sold for 30K.

There's a big difference in value of a proof 69S and a business strike 69S when it comes to full steps. The proof is way less difficult to find fully struck with full steps. Let's not get confused here. Full steps generally has to do with business strikes intended for circulation.

There are collectors of full step proofs but it is a completely different animal.

It's a proof, and all proof nickels should have full steps.

Concur this is a proof strike coin ... and in general full steps are expected for the 'modern' Jefferson nickel series.

The steps are not broken, as my initial post indicated. The cell camera distorted but I should of posted more pics.

I wanted to share because of how exceptional the coin is. It's one of those in your collection that a photo doesn't do justice.

Comments on this forum are always appreciated ..sharing your time and expertise.

thank you

The guy made an honest mistake and then corrected it. Who the heck are you, God's gift to numismatics? Lighten up. If "you" have nothing nice to say, don't say anything!

It's an honest mistake, as said, especially with just the first pic. However, when it comes to FS nickels, determining proof or business strike should be the first consideration for appropriate years/mms.

I agree and @GrapeCollects just learned something tonight. So I would call that education!

I know the rim is square on a proof but might be worth looking at the PCGS business strike example. It's definitely high luster but not the mirror reflection that match the other proofs in my collection.

Sorry if my photos made it hard to determine. I need to get one of those microscope cameras, lol... cell phones and shiny don't do great together.
