Fundamentally, yes. Condition , as in all collectable coins , affects the premium over face value.

All vary according to the coin. If they were reprocessed, then they are pretty much just a Wheat cent. How to tell if they were reprocessed?

An average circulated 1943 Cent is worth about $0.50 . But a gem Uncirculated coin with no problems can fetch up to $50 for a P mint and $75 for D or S mint .

Tony - Not so sure an average circulated 1943 cent is worth 50 cents!

What condition is yours in? Is it MS (Mint State), or is it in average circulated condition?
Errers and Varietys.

I believe that for the most part the only 1943 steel cent with an increased value over the others is the 1943-D/D

Yes Bruce, but I'm talking full retail . More realistic would be $0.25 at a LCS . More realistic than that would be $0.05 for an average circ in our collections .

My source for wheat bags doesn't sell 43's for a premium over other wheats and like wise doesn't pay a premium for them . Unless they are au's or unc's , I just look for varieties and put them back in the bag to trade in for more.
