I just came across this and it appears to be the error quarter of delaware .

Look like it. A nice die crack that does have a premium over a regular coin.

Another case of attaching a name on a coin to create interest for a die crack. Without the name calling attention to the coin, another die event is pushed off as a collectible. I'm glad I stick to varieties rather than collecting die events.

I think it's a die scratch.
Well known but not much of a premium, if any.

This was the very first error to be found on the then new State Quarters. The full gamut of errors have now been found and can be purchased from this era but this was #1 .This is a big reason for the hype around this little error. Just so happens they were released and first found close to where I live. I pulled some from bank wrapped rolls and probably have an original roll or two with them in it tucked away somewhere.
