ebay item number: 192704457480Seller = hg201162 Please see die chip on reverse of coin. Also notice that the forger used the same reverse for this coin as my previous post for 1922-D Lincoln Cent. Please look at the left wheat stalk. Notice how the wear on the wheat lines is equivalent in the exact same places. Also there are additional repetitions on the reverse. Some of the other defects that don't match on the reverse, do not match because die was obviously bungled to try and hide the most obvious matching defects. Instead of having that exact defect, raised line(s) would be present where the defect once was. When I told this seller about it, they took down both listings, but now they put both listings back up, which shows and proves my point that seller knows they are counterfeit.

Like your 1922-D, this is something completely new to me. With respect, I find it hard to believe this is a counterfeit, but I'd like to read some corroborating evidence.

When I wrote email to seller, regarding this info, they took down both listings right away. The time line speaks for itself.

Listing is still there when I just looked . That coin , the 1913 S is a genuine coin. What evidence do you have that says otherwise ?

I don't think either the 1922-D or the 1913-S are counterfeits.
Also, I don't see "the die chip" on either of these coins.

Well the seller obviously knows and I do too. These counterfeits are much better made than most, the defects are concealed more effectively than most. Look at the left wheat as I mentioned in a previous post. The left wheat exhibits the same defect on both coins. The wear is exactly the same. There are 2 raised lumps in exactly the same place where die chip was on both coins.

Are you saying that the same reverse was used for both coins?

I also think this coin is not a fake coin.
The reverses look like different coins to me.

Isn't it the dot between E and PLURIBUS?.....and not a die chip?

The 1913-S auction is still running and clearly a genuine coin. The seller wants $2.66 shipping though and with a $0.99 opening bid that's $3.65 delivered which is more than the coin is worth IMO (a Good with damage).

Looks genuine to me. Not sure why anyone would fake such an inexpensive coin in the first place.

No question genuine - cannot figure out what the OP is possibly thinking of.

Appears genuine to me ... wondering why the OP is stating otherwise.
