1955 S Wheat Penny. Excessive Material ?

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/08/2018 12:37 pm You coin is probably the weight it should be. So there is no extra material on it. I see finger prints and a possible die chip, but chips, mint marks, cracks, breaks and Cuds do not add weight to a coin. It goes in before 3.11 grams and comes out the same weight. The metal just re-arranges on the coin. So the weight remains the same and no extra material is added. Report this Post to the Staff
