Now I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure these are Cuds all over the coin. I also dont know all the known errors for this coin in particular but if these are actual mint errors I'd like to know if it has any sort of rarity or value to it? If its a common find I'd like to know too lol

@JK, I see some surface staining along the rim plus a number of chipped die posts (e.g. on the B of LIBERTY and the first O in CROSSROADS). There is a die chip underneath the 7 in the date. An interesting accumulation of damage to the die, but I would be surprised if this one brings a premium.

What you have are called die chips or Cuds. I also see a die crack. No real rarity or value. Very common on these coins.

Edit: Very nice pictures BTW!

Thank you two for the input. I'm happy that I always learn something new on my coin posts. The community here is very knowledgeable and humble. I have a quite a few others that needs some more input as well. I will porbably post 1 or 2 of them tomorrow.

I know you have gotten the answer, but I wanted to mention that " Cuds" are die breaks that include the rim. Spence noted that what is going on near the rim is staining. So, there are no Cuds on the coin. As also mentioned, though, there are die chips. I see them in multiple places, including "007" of the date.

As USSID18 said, die chips like this are quite common on these quarters, so there's no real extra value. Even so, you're training your eyes to notice differences like that, and these quarter series are challenging in that regard for having so many different designs.

Here's another good example of die chips on those series.

Good eye! !

I didn't even notice that. It's definitely a hit, not a crack.
