The coin very clean. I think it should be around MS66. See this type of DD from the 1963 D and S but not on P. Your opinion please

Keep in mind another form of Machine Doubling. It is called ejection doubling. On the exit of the chamber the tops of the devices can be affected. Just like this coin. Note on the first two image on the lower loop of the '3'? You can see where the metal was pushed towards the rim. On the third image you can see a directional mark across the date. So either MD or coin damage altered the date area.
