Your coin is showing extreme die wear. 953 all show Die Deterioration towards the rim.

We've seen this before. This maybe from the same die?

Just Die Deterioration Doubling, caused by worn die issue, from striking a ton of planchets at the U.S. Mint. There's no premium over face value for this. http://www.error-ref.com/die-deteri...on-doubling/
