I have a copper or bronze coin I would like help with ID.
It is the size of a penny, one side has D centered. Above the D is
uncirculated. Below the D is Denver.

reverse side has coat of arms or shield as it were, with treasury at top and United States Mint at bottom.

I got it in change somewhere and found it in my pocket. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks somethin like this?

It's a piece that is sealed in with the other uncirculated coins in a P&D US Mint Set

Thank you GraceOutcast for the attemp.
My coin is simular but different.
The shield is the same, the text is different.
On the side with the shield, accross the top the text is "TREASURY"
At the bottom it reads "UNITED STATES MINT"
On the reverse side there is a large "D" in the middle of the coin.
The text at the top reads "UNCIRCULATED" and at the bottom it reads
"DENVER". There is no date on the coin.
I'm not a collector, just curious about what will wind up in my grand kid's pocket?

Thanks again for the effort.

It is the piece that came from a mint set. More than likely it came from a mid to late 80's mint set.

Yep. I've got a 1989 USA Denver mint set which includes a token just like yours, seen at the top right of this pic:
