AU55. Those are some hard digs on the obverse left of the face, with a few minor nicks and dings in the right field and throughout the reverse fields, but otherwise, not too much to worry about, and in line with the grade.

What a sharp strike! Both sides exhibit the strike characteristics of a proof coin in the central liberty and eagle. Stars in the obverse look a little less sharp, but the coin is still stunning.

The surfaces lack luster and as paralyze says, it is pretty dinged up. I am at au55 too but only due to luster and surface impairment, not due to significant wear.

I would buy it for mid Au money, and balk at it at higher prices. Strike and patina combine for great eye appeal.
