Opinions please. I almost wrote it off as taking one too many trips to the dryer but the lettering imprinted on the fold over on reverse and the huge Cud mound on the overse brought me back to maybe...I respect your thoughts on this.

Heavily damaged...probably a Dryer Coin. Post minting damage, not an error.

@jlayman1, first welcome to CCF. Second, for sure this coin is pretty beat up. I wonder if the odd rim around the obverse is actually a bezel ring or something rather than the folded over rim of the coin. Can you please also post a pic of the edge? In the end, though, this coin is a spender.

I worked in grocery stores for 45 years. I don't think that brand has ever changed the label and lids. They are still glass Jars?
