can someone help me to know if my coin is the rarest Bicentennial Ike dollar 1776-1976 No S Type 2 or not.

i think it is a silver coin

@HH, could you please provide the weight of this coin? Also, what test(s) have you done to confirm the metal alloy?

Looks like variety 2. Can you see the copper core on the edge?

Well the 1776 - 1976 No S type 2 silver bicentennial dollar is a proof coin. Yours is not a proof so no yours isn't one. It appears to be a regular Philadelphia type 2 copper nickel clad business strike.

I have type 2 no s Ike coin it weighs in at 24.7 grams I can't see any copper on the edge and magnet test was very close to what silver eagle's slide time was I believe that is what you'd want to see

I've heard years ago, that the type ones were 1975's (Which the date given is 1976) dollars with that reverse. And the 1976's were the reverses with the type 2 reverse. But the " Red Book" mentions:

Quote:

The lettering was modified in early 1975 to produce a more attractive design."

Interesting that they type 1 reverses have the lowest mintage, but no premium for the low mintage.
1976 clad variety one: 4,019,000
1976 clad variety two:113,318,000
1976-D clad variety one: 21,048,710
1976-D clad variety two: 82,179,564
1976-S clad variety one PR: 2,845,450
1976-S clad variety two PR: 4,149,730
1976-S silver clad variety two: No numbers?
1976-S silver clad variety one BS: 11,000,000
1976-S silver clad variety one PR: 4,000,000
