I also acquired this from an estate in Texas....not the same one as where I found my seated liberty proof quarter also of the same year. This coin has a slight pinkish orangue glossy mirror hue which was not picked up in the photo, but it rather nice. Found the reverse photo

@DB, I also have found that taking good pics of slabbed coins is tough. Fortunately, there is a section in CCF with loads of threads describing various members photographic set-ups. If you are dropping this kind of cash on your coins, you can't just be snapping pics with your iPhone 6.

I didn't mean to sound flip, it's obviously a super coin - I'd just like to see some larger, brighter pics!

DoctorBurnsy, at least you're able to post pictures, more than I can say for myself. Looks like you're new to site, but not new to collecting. You picked this coin up in Texas, did you ever live in Texas? I'm a native Texan living in the Houston area.

Nope.....native to Massachusetts, but I like me a good estate sale when I hear about them. If I'm on vacation or visiting a friend I always check the papers to see if anything is happening in the area so to say. I'm just going through flashdrives to see what I have photos of....Most of my coins are in the bank(s)...I'm just deliberating what photos are good enough to show.....In tge future I will try and get some better photos of the good stuff. We all have the best seat in the house for our collections/investments. Just pull it out and there it is....But for showing purposes people want more.....And I can understand this one....they didn't make too many proofs for these....so when I saw what it was I scooped it up up along with a few other things.
